How?

Many manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors offer what are known as "co-op advertising dollars" in exchange for promoting their products. While each company has their own policies and procedures here is how the concept works.

The manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors that have Co-op Advertising Programs will rebate you a percentage of your advertising cost when you specifically promote their product. Typically, this is limited as a percentage or dollar value of your past purchases, either over the lifetime of your account or a period such as a year.

Here is an example:

Bob owns Bob's Great Store and he buys $30,000 a year from Ned's Wholesale Widgets. Ned has a Co-op Advertising Program that will pay 100% of Bob's advertising cost to promote the Widgets to a maximum of 2% of Bob's purchases from Ned in a year. Bob does some simple math and finds two percent of $30,000 is $600.00 - far more than needed to cover the annual subscription for the NOWcard Instant Rewards program. Bob realizes that he can get the NOWcard Instant Rewards program for free thanks to these co-op dollars. Since the annual NOWcard subscription price is so low he will still have other co-op dollars left to do other advertising too.

So Bob contacts Ned and tells him he will offer a special bonus to all NOWcard holders if they purchase Ned's Widget from his store this month. Bob explains that the bonus offer will be promoted on the www.theNOWcard.com website and instore signage. Ned agrees to reimburse Bob the annual subscription price since it fits his Co-op Ad policy^*. All Bob needs do now is fill out a form and provide a copy of the subscription receipt (which we sent Bob automatically when he joined the NOWcard Instant Rewards program).

It really is that simple, so Bob makes a note on his calendar to create an Instant Reward around Ned's Widgets each and every year so Bob continues to get the NOWcard Instant Rewards program FREE every year.
